The Columbus North High School Bull Dog Alumni Association has announced its scholarship winners for the Class of 2022. They are:

Megan Allman received the $5,000 Webb Salmon Excellence in English Scholarship, awarded to a student who has demonstrated excellence in overall academics, especially English, creative writing and literature.

Lillian Bringle was awarded the $1,000 John Johnson Studio Productions Scholarship given to graduates who have been employed at least one year at the CNHS auditorium or worked in a leadership position on a SNHS show.

Michaela Brown and Grace Chapman each are recipients of $1,000 Samuel P. Simmermaker Journalism and Communications Scholarships awarded to students planning to pursue a degree in journalism or communications.

Rhett Harmon received the $500 John Carmichael True Blue Scholarship, awarded to a boys basketball player displaying loyalty, integrity, perseverance and tenacity. (A boys golf team member also will be honored but has yet to be announced as the season continues.)

Emily Moore was awarded the $500 John Hinds Tradition in Excellence scholarship, honoring outstanding student athletes with a preference for a gymnast and/or students intending to major in education.

Aiyanah Scism received the $500 Michael Garber Memorial Scholarship honoring students with varied interests, in honor of Garber’s involvement in education issues and involvement with education policy.
