COLUMBUS, Ind. — After nearly 40 years of serving as the main campus building for Ivy Tech Community College – Columbus, Poling Hall is coming down.

According to school officials, demolition began Monday. Director of Marketing Chris Schilling said that he believes the process will be complete by the end of July.

“It’s kind of bittersweet, I guess,” said Schilling. “There was a lot of history there and a lot of good memories.”

However, he added that it’s “exciting” to continue moving into Moravec Hall, which will be more clearly visible after Poling is removed.
