COLUMBUS, Ind. — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Dave O’Mara Contractor Inc. plans to close S.R. 46 between U.S. 31 and County Road 450E in Bartholomew County on or after Monday, June 27, to replace a pipe.
The road is expected to remain closed through Friday, July 1. Traffic will be routed along the official detour that will follow U.S. 31, State Road 7, U.S. 50 and State Road 3. Access will be maintained for local residents.
This work is part of a $3.7 million contract that includes patching, milling and paving on State Road 46, between State Road 7 and State Road 9. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and stay vigilant of workers and equipment when traveling through active construction zones.
