COLUMBUS
Timothy “Timmy” Ray Mourey, Sr., passed from this life Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at his home surrounded by family.
Timmy was born May 9, 1960, in Columbus, Indiana, the son of Herman and Betty Renner Burton.
Mr. Mourey worked as a machinist for First Metals and Plastics Incorporated. He loved and lived the Harley Davidson lifestyle. Riding motorcycles was his passion. He also enjoyed good music and spending time with his family. Timmy always had a way to keep people laughing. He will be deeply missed by those that knew him and spent time around him.
Survivors include his children, Timothy R. Mourey, Jr. of Indianapolis, Jimmie Robbins of Jennings County, Samantha Beavers of Columbus; grandchildren, Trinity Robbins, Lincoln Elliott; mother, Betty (Ron) Robbins; brother, Robert Mourey, both of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Burton; grandparents, Will and Gladys Burton; brother, Darrell Burton and longtime companion, Teresa L. Beavers.
The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Tom Collett officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
