DNR seeks volunteers for its State Fair Fishin’ Pond

INDIANAPOLIS The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is seeking volunteers for the Indiana DNR’s Fishin’ Pond at the Indiana State Fair.

The pond is located beside the Natural Resources Building at the fairgrounds.

Volunteers will help youth register to fish, bait hooks, remove fish from hooks and help with fishing equipment. The fair opens July 29 and the pond will be open Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays through Aug. 21. Volunteer shifts are 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Volunteers will work alongside DNR staff and receive a free parking pass, State Fair entry and a DNR Fishin’ Pond T-shirt.
