County moves to ‘red’ status on virus

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has recently designated Bartholomew County’s COVID-19 viral spread as high, which places the county as “red” in the CDC’s rating system. The CDC designation is determined by looking at hospital beds being used, hospital admissions, and the total number of new COVID-19 cases in an area.

As a result of this designation, the COVID-19 Community Task Force is urging all county residents to use masks when indoors, stay up-to-date on vaccinations and boosters, and, if showing symptoms of COVID-19, get tested.

The task force website will continue to be updated to provide the community resource on testing, vaccine and other relevant information. Visit covid19communitytaskforce.org for additional information and updates.
