DETROIT — Tyler Duncan fired a 2-under-par 70 in Thursday’s opening round and is tied for 53rd in the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
Starting on the back nine, the 2008 Columbus North graduate birdied four of his first six holes and shot 3-under 33 on his first nine at Detroit Golf Club. He then parred holes 1-through-8 before a bogey on No. 9 gave him a 37 on the front.
Tony Finau and Taylor Pendrith share the lead at 8-under 64.
