Olympians edge Panthers

NORTH VERNON — Carter Gant fired a 3-over-par 38 Tuesday to win medalist honors and lead Columbus East to a 189-192 win against Jennings County at St. Anne’s.

Katie Hong carded a 42 for the Olympians. Lilly Steinwedel added a 49, Grace LaSell shot 60, Avery Brooks had a 61 and Dyana Foster finished with a 62.

Alexis Carson led the Panthers with a 42. Sophia Curry carded a 43, Lauren Galvan added a 48, Shelby Davis shot 59, Rachael Manning had a 65 and Dakota Carr finished with a 68.

Lancers down Spartans

EDINBURGH — Macie Blandford won medalist honors with a 47 to lead Edinburgh to a 205-260 win against Southwestern (Shelby) at Timbergate.

Izzy Richardson carded a 49 for the Lancers. Jillian Turner added a 51, Gracie Myers shot 58, Hannah Pile had a 60, Cloee Britton shot 68, Bella Turner had a 69 and Ciera Myers finished with a 71.

Eagles take third

NASHVILLE — Brown County finished third in a tri match at Salt Creek. Brownstown Central won with a 220, and Edgewood edged the Eagles 232-233 for second.

Hannah deWeert led Brown County with a 51. Lilly VanNess carded a 55, Savannah Poling added a 63, Ava Stogsdill shot 64 and Chloe Poling had a 66.
