Panthers top Bull Dogs
NORTH VERNON — Columbus North coach Scott Seavers rested his top four golfers Wednesday, and Jennings County beat the Bull Dogs 180-245 at St. Anne’s.
Sophia Curry won medalist honors with a 39 to lead the Panthers. Alexis Carson carded a 40, Lauren Galvan added a 44, Shelby Davis shot 57, Dakota Carr had a 64 and Racheal Manning finished with a 65.
Nettie Meeks led North with a 57. Ana Pavlov added a 62, and Kara Buntin and Jaedyn Greenlee each shot 63.
Lancers take second
NASHVILLE — Edinburgh finished second and Brown County third in a tri match at Salt Creek. Whiteland won with a 210 to 233 for the Lancers and 238 for the Eagles.
Izzy Richardson won co-medalist honors with a 49 to lead Edinburgh. Jillian Turner carded a 59, Macie Blandford added a 60, Gracie Myers shot 65 and Cloee Britton had a 66.
Hannah deWeerdt and Lilly VanNess each shot 55 to lead Brown County. Savannah Poling added a 63, and Ava Stogstill and Chloe Poling each shot 65.
