Kenneth Wayne Clark

Kenneth Wayne Clark, 64, of Heltonville, IN, passed away at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2022. He was born in Franklin, IN on January 28, 1958, to Wayne Mitchell Clark and Shirley Chastain Clark. Ken married Donna Mae Bourland on September 25, 1981.

Ken graduated from Franklin Community High School and later graduated from Ivy Tech State College, School of Nursing. He was a proud Army Veteran, serving in the 63rd Armored Battalion and the 121st Signal Corps. He was a certified gas technician, custom cable installer, real estate salesman, and also website designer. Ken was also the founder of S.A.V.E.D. Ministries as a pastor to those struggling with substance abuse.

Ken loved to do many different activities in his spare time including gardening, bird watching, playing guitar, listening to southern gospel music, and operating his Ham Radio where he went by the handle, “The Bomber.” Thanks to his love for gardening and animals, he was named a champion floral and rabbit exhibitor.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2022, at Columbus Baptist Church, 4821 N. US Highway 31, Columbus, IN with Pastor Scott Bourland officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard. Calling will be from 5 p.m. until service time at 7 p.m. at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Clark; mother, Shirley Clark; children, Aaron (Letha) Clark of Whiteland, IN, Brandon (Katie) Clark of Rapid City, SD and Christopher (Andrea) Clark of Edinburgh, IN; sisters, Karen Edwards of Alabama, Melissa (Scott) VanWinkle of Franklin, IN and 8 grandchildren.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Clark, and brother, Steve Clark.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
