Roger Matthew Wolfe, age 62, passed away on August 7, 2022, at Baptist Floyd Hospital. Roger was a friendly, kind-hearted person who never met a stranger. He was born in Columbus, Indiana on October 13, 1959. Roger attended Columbus North High school. He was a member of Young Republicans and participated in the Big Brother programs. He coached league Basketball. Roger loved the Green Bay Packers football, fishing, the beach, animals, old westerns, and John Wayne. He worked in retail sales most of his life and was the owner of Affordable Decorating. He retired from Book Warehouse Book Market as regional manager.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Lee Wolfe and Florence Mary Piemberton Wolfe.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne (Watson) Wolfe; a brother, Steve Wolfe (Paulette) of Columbus, Indiana; sister Tonia Settles of Columbus, Indiana and April Scott Wolfe of Kokomo, Indiana; mother-in-law LaVerne Watson Vertrees of Jeffersonville, Indiana. Roger was an uncle to several nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, August 13, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
