Kevin Charles Hall

COLUMBUS

Kevin Charles (KC) Hall of Columbus, Indiana was called home to our heavenly Father on Aug. 4, 2022 at the age of 61 while vacationing with family in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Born on Oct. 30, 1960 to Lois and John (Jack) Hall, KC grew up in Nokomis, Illinois a middle child with 4 siblings.

After high school, KC attended Lincolnland Community College in Springfield, Illinois and completed his education at University of Illinois in Champaign with a master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering specializing in Power and Machinery. At University of Illinois, he met the love of his life, Patricia (Trish). Within a month of graduating, KC and Trish married and moved to Columbus, Indiana where KC began his career with Cummins. During his 37 years with Cummins, he approached every position and challenge with positive energy, and worked tirelessly for the good of the company as well as his many coworkers along the way.

KC and Trish found their church home with Saint Bartholomew Catholic Church where he was an active member and usher for many years. Their 3 children graduated from St. B’s School where his family had many fun and meaningful experiences.

Gatherings with friends and family were his times most treasured. KC’s superpower was connecting with others and making lifelong friends that became family. He was the energy at a party, loved music, games, and people. The biggest sufferer of FOMO (fear of missing out), KC wanted to be where the fun was and he, himself, was the mastermind of fun. A thoughtful man, he desired to help those in need and be there for his loved ones. KC was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and uncle. He will be missed eternally.

He is survived by his wife Trish (Doehring) Hall, daughters Chelsea (Cliff) Ortlieb and Rianne (Cody) Craig, son Kyler Hall, mother Lois Hall, brothers Jim (Nancy) Hall, Tim (Cheryl) Hall, and Gerry (Jeanne) Hall, and sister Norby (Larry) Tester as well as two grandchildren, Kaycee and Samson Ortlieb. He was preceded in death by his father, John P Hall.

A memorial mass will be held for KC at Saint Bartholomew Catholic Church on Friday, Aug. 19, 2022 at 10 a.m. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Myers~Reed Chapel on 25th Street and from 9 a.m. to service time Friday at the church.
