School foundation hires new coordinator

Brittany Lane

Bartholomew Consolidated School Foundation has hired Brittany Lane as its new community development coordinator.

Lane, who started in the position on Aug. 1, previously worked in medical imaging and was an X-ray technician for about five years.

“I had children, and my passion kind of shifted a little bit from medical imaging,” she said. “So I’m excited about being in this role.”

Lane’s oldest son just started kindergarten at CSA Lincoln Elementary, and her youngest is still in preschool. She looks forward to using her passion for helping kids, along with new skills she’ll learn in her position, to serve the district and foundation.

Her duties as community development coordinator include community outreach, fundraising and event planning.

When asked if she has past experience in this line of work, Lane replied, “I do not, but I’m a fast learner.”

BCSF Executive Director Nicole Cunningham said that the foundation is excited to have Lane join the team.

“Having been a parent who left the workforce for a while myself, I know how important it is to give opportunities to women who are reentering the workforce,” she added. “So that’s kind of something that is meaningful to me personally, and I had a good connection with Brittany right away. So I’m just so excited to see her learn and grow.”

The foundation’s previous community development coordinator, Angie Emmitt, left the position to focus on her real estate business.
