COLUMBUS
Glenda Faye Beasley, 86, of Columbus passed from this life on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at 6:30 a.m. at her home surrounded by her family.
Glenda was born on October 12, 1935, in Columbus the daughter of Glenn W. and Esther F. Thomas McCord. She married Raymond W. Beasley on June 12, 1955. She was self-employed and a member of Ogilville United Methodist Church where she was very active in the church and enjoyed playing the piano for many years. She had a tremendous love for decorating her home for Christmas with lights, which she received awards for throughout the years. Glenda loved to be outside doing yard work, including running the bushhog with her tractor and taking care of her beautiful flowers.
Survivors include her children, Debbie (Jerry) Elkins of Columbus, Glenn (Amber) Beasley of Muncie, LuAnne (Richard) Maddaloni of Columbus; son-in-law, Steve Boles of Columbus; grandchildren, Justin (Leanne) Elkins of Columbus, Ashley Lopez of Columbus, Natalie (Trent) Patrick of Columbus, Michael (Misty) Beasley of Greenwood, Amanda Sipes of Seymour, Megan (Dalton) Rector of Cody, Wyoming, Shaun Maddaloni of Columbus, Cassie Maddaloni of Columbus, Derek (Roxanna) Boles of Columbus; 10 great grandchildren; a sister, Lodema (Steve) Barrett of Seymour; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond W. Beasley in 1995; daughter, Pam Boles; and a brother, Stanley McCord.
The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Ogilville United Methodist Church with Rev. Stephen Barrett officiating.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. till time of service Saturday at the church.
Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
Services have been entrusted to Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be given in memory of Mrs. Beasley through the funeral home to the Trustees of Mt. Healthy Community Church, St. Paul Cemetery Fund, or Schneck Hospice.
