COLUMBUS
Brenda Yvonne Roach, 82, of Columbus, went to be with her Lord at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2022 while staying at Otterbein Franklin Senior Life Community.
Brenda was born October 7, 1939, in Bedford, Indiana, the daughter of Russell and Helene Barnes Keithley. On July 17, 1956, she married William Fay Roach.
Brenda was a longtime member of First Christian Church. While she worked at several different places in the Columbus area, her main focus was building a home for her children and grandchildren. She loved them unconditionally. She was proud of her children and grandchildren and spoke highly of them. She was intelligent, beautiful, strong, selfless, and caring. She was an inspiration and an independent spirit, which she instilled in all of her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, William “Fay”; children, Timothy (Kathy) Roach of Brownsburg, Julie Roach (Bilz) of Columbus, Rebecca (John) Thatcher of Avon; grandchildren, Ashly Fay (Chris) Jones, Zachary William (Kristen) Roach, Samuel Thomas, Joshua Thatcher, Daniel Thatcher, Bethany Thatcher, Riannon Nicole Roach, Kyle Scott Roach, William Brendan Roach, Christopher Scott Sullivan; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Nevaeh and William.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gregory Scott and infant son, Phillip B. Roach.
In keeping with the family’s request, cremation will take place and a graveside inurnment service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2022 at Garland Brook Cemetery Bell Tower with Pastor Roy Hendershot officiating.
