East downs Franklin

FRANKLIN — Columbus East used goals from four different players Monday night to claim a 4-1 win at Franklin.

Nadia Harris and Nadia Dwenger each had a goal and an assist for the Olympians (7-4-4). Sydney Berkemeier and Ruth Federle each scored a goal, and Heidi Murphy had an assist.

East outshot the Grizzly Cubs 21-6. Anna Liimatta posted three saves, and Kate Stiles added one save for the Olympians.

Trinity tops Rebels

HANOVER — Emma Myers netted three goals and one assist to lead Trinity Lutheran t0 a 4-2 win at Southwestern (Hanover).

Kaydence Miller added a goal and an assist for the Cougars (8-6), who outshot the Rebels 23-14. Samantha Enzinger recorded 12 saves.

Panthers tie Warriors

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County came away with a 0-0 tie against Scottsburg.

The Panthers (4-9-2) put eight shots on goal to three for the Warriors. Alayna Phillips posted three saves.

Lancers sweep Mohawks

WALDRON — Edinburgh stayed alive in the Mid-Hoosier Conference race with a 25-15, 27-25, 25-12 win at Waldron.

Gracie Crawhorn recorded 15 kills, four blocks 26 digs and one ace, and Kyah Streeval had 34 assists and one ace to lead the Lancers (15-6, 4-1). MacKenzie Bieker also served one ace.

Also for Edinburgh, Jessica Walsh tallied seven kills and 22 digs, and Bieker recorded six kills, three blocks and 16 digs. Mia Dodson notched six kills and three blocks, and Zoey Sida added six kills and 15 digs.

Columbus Christian falls

Columbus Christian came close in the second set, but fell to Christian Academy of Madison 25-14, 25-23, 25-16.

Grace Johnson led the Crusaders (6-12) with eight assists and three aces. Anika Jenkins pounded eight kills, and Emma Murray had one block.

Also for Columbus Christian, Emma Murray tallied three kills and one ace. Alexys Murray added two kills, Emma Sewell recorded three assists and Jenkins served one ace.

Panthers edge Frankin

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County pulled out a three-set win at No. 1 singles to finish the regular season with a 3-2 win against Franklin.

Owen Law beat Caleb Funkhoser 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 singles, and Parker Bales topped Reid Davidson 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2 singles for the Panthers (14-8). Justin Ramey and Ryan Schuck defeated Pryce Rucker and Luke Sherry 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles.

Jennings’ Janne Sebastian fell to Nathan Neville 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 singles. Alex Leach and Ty Zohrlaut lost to Ian Blackketter and Dylan Fuknhouser 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.

Jackets nip Lancers

EDINBURGH — Edinburgh closed the regular season with a 3-2 MHC loss to Morristown.

Milas Burkman beat Tyler Schonfeld 6-7 (4), 6-0, (11-9) at No. 1 singles for the Lancers (8-12, 4-2). Max Blandford and Austin Brockman topped Austin Gabbard and Michael Ballinger 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles.

Edinburgh’s Bailey Totten fell to Jameson Palmer at No. 2 singles, and Braylon Lenkner lost to Dalton Michael at No. 3 singles, both by 6-2, 6-0 scores. Teddy Crawhorn and Jayson Music fell to Bryce Bryant and Brady Schonfeld 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
