Legal Aid to have free clinic

Legal Aid will have a free Legal Aid Walk-In Clinic from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Legal Aid office in Columbus for low-income residents. The office is at 1531 13th St.

The Legal Aid Clinic and Pro Bono Program utilizes local volunteer attorneys, offering free legal consultations to low-income individuals who might not otherwise be able to afford the counsel of an attorney.

Individuals may expect to receive a 10-minute consultation to general and eviction questions, limited pro se assistance or advice, in person, on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no need to register in advance.

A general advice clinic is from 3 to 4 p.m., followed up an eviction clinic from 4 to 5 p.m. No criminal law questions can be handled.
