Craft beer will once again be the stalk of the town Saturday when the annual 450 North Brewing Company Corn Maze Beer Fest unfolds at 11 a.m. Saturday just north of Columbus at 8111 E. County Road 450N.

The event attracts several thousand people for live music from this year’s acts such as Dacota Muckey and Moon Daisy, an array of eight food trucks, and nearly 80 breweries dotting an 11-acre corn maze — or should that be maize? — at the business known for its craft beer and restaurant.

For those wanting to be extra safe as they enjoy their favorite beverages, a shuttle service is operating from a number of area hotels for $32.50 and $40 per person.

And though VIP tickets to the fest are long gone, plenty of other tickets are available, according to the brewery website at 450northbrewing.com

General admission tickets are $60 and designated driver tickets are $12.

The gathering was launched in 2016 as the only beer fest corn maze in the nation, organizers said. It attracted nearly 2,000 at that inaugural event when parking and other space was more limited, and attendance has increased since then.

“As the craft beer industry has grown, so have the events surrounding it,” coordinator Lauren Simmons said just before that first fest.

A beer garden serving 450 North beer and cider and Simmons Winery Wines will be located outside the maze. Also, the onsite restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and serving its full menu.
