COLUMBUS, INDIANA
Clarence Edward Cox, 79, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday September 28, 2022 at Majestic Care of North Vernon. He was born November 2, 1942 in Acton, Indiana to Ralph and Flossie Hilderbrand Cox. He was retired from Cummins Engine Company. He enjoyed softball, bowling and being outdoors walking his dog, Bandit.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday September 30, 2022 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Hancock officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clarence Cox Memorial Fund through the funeral home.
Clarence is survived by his daughter and caretaker, Annie (Brian) Elkins; daughters, Lisa (Rick) Wilson, Lori (Roy) Warner, Dawn Cox and Kelly Cox; a brother, Ralph (Dee) Cox and several grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sheila D. Burton Cox; a son Rick Cox and brothers, Jim, Marlin and Bill Cox.
