Alzheimer’s Association hosts Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sunday

COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Greater Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association is hosting the Walk to End Alzheimer’s at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the Bartholomew County 4-H Fairgrounds.

Funds raised through the walk support awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. In 2021, the Columbus walk raised more than $94,000.

More than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease, cared for by more than 11 million family caregivers. In Indiana, there are 110,000 people living with the disease and 216,000 caregivers.

The Promise Garden ceremony will be held at 1:45 p.m., and the Walk will follow.
