North moves into final

BLOOMINGTON — Fourth-ranked Columbus North rolled to a 5-0 semifinal win against Southwestern (Hanover) on Tuesday and will meet Bloomington South today for the Bloomington South Regional title.

Hank Lin beat Jordan Deatley 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, Austin Clark topped Brayden Helton 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles and Steven Sun downed Brady Cook 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles for the Bull Dogs (22-2).

North’s Amrit Kar and Anvay Atram defeated Mason Lichliter and Carter Harmon 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles. Parth Shah and Parth Gupta blanked Tanner Jacobs and Braxton Lewis 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.

Hauser duo falls

BLOOMINGTON — Hauser’s No. 1 doubles team of Levi Gollmer and Hunter Pappano fell to a team from Greensburg 6-1, 6-1 in the individual doubles sectional.

Gollmer and Pappano, who had advanced after winning their sectional match in the Jets loss to Columbus East, finished the season 15-4.

East sweeps Madison

MADISON — Columbus East rolled to a 25-13, 25-15, 25-15 win at Madison.

Gabby Dean led the Olympians (14-10) with 17 kills, two solo and five assist blocks and two aces. Erin Williams recorded 34 assists and two aces, Kenzie Foster notched 20 digs and Maddie Cline served two aces.

Also for East, Cline pounded 13 kills, Caroline Frost and Jenna Guse each had three assist blocks, and Kimberly Carothers added two assist blocks. Williams and Chloe Gilley each tallied six digs.

North falls to Panthers

BLOOMINGTON — Emily Stair went over the 1,000 digs mark for her career, but Columbus North dropped a 25-14, 22-25, 25-18, 25-21 Conference Indiana decision at Bloomington South.

Karen Dutro led the Bull Dogs (11-14) with 11 kills and 14 blocks. Emma Burns recorded 12 assists, Stair notched 23 digs and Katelynn Mabis served two aces.

Also for North, Logan Branstetter pounded nine kills, Reese Edwards tallied eight assists, Kennedy Horn had seven blocks and Stair served one ace.

Jets sweep Lancers

EDINBURGH — Hauser claimed a 25-13, 25-22, 25-17 win at Edinburgh in a battle for runner-up in the Mid-Hoosier Conference.

Kenze Bostic recorded 10 kills, two aces and three blocks, Adrianna Musillami had 21 assists and three aces and Charlie Clark notched 16 digs and three aces to lead the Jets (21-10, 5-1). Aniston Bostic also had three blocks.

Also for Hauser, Clark tallied seven kills and one block, and Aniston Bostic pounded six kills. Reagan Mack contributed three assists, Paige McDaniel added one assist, Kyra Meister notched nine digs and Mattie Foster had eight digs.

Gracie Crawhorn recorded five kills and five blocks, and Kyah Streeval had 15 assists and one ace to lead the Lancers (15-8, 4-2). MacKenzie Bieker notched 15 digs, and Jessica Walsh and Zoey Sida each served one ace.

Also for Edinburgh, Sida tallied four kills and 11 digs, and Bieker added two kills and three blocks. Crawhorn and Walsh each had 14 digs.

Panthers down Devils

JEFFERSONVILLE — Jennings County picked up a 25-21, 26-24, 25-16 Hoosier Hills Conference win at Jeffersonville.

Charlee Barlow led the Panthers (21-8) with 13 kills and four blocks. Avynn Belding had four blocks, Addison Martin notched 15 digs and Megan Vogel served three aces.

Trinity tops Shawe

SEYMOUR — Addison Darlage went over the 2,000 assist mark for her career in Class A No.4 Trinity Lutheran’s 25-14, 25-22, 25-21 win against Shawe Memorial.

Laura Roeder led the Cougars (18-8) with seven digs and four aces. Bailey Tabeling pounded 19 kills, and Darlage recorded 44 assists.

Also for Trinity, Carson Bowling tallied 16 kills, and Drew Hubbard added five kills. Madison Keith notched six digs, Tabeling had four digs and three aces and Kiley Zabel served one ace.

Trinity blanks Rebels

SEYMOUR — Emma Myers scored five goals to break Trinity Lutheran’s single season and career scoring records and lead the Cougars to a 7-0 win against Southwestern (Hanover) in the first round of the Trinity Sectional.

Emalee Goss and Bailey Reimer scored the other goals for Trinity (8-6). Kaydence Miller had three assists, and Myers added one assist.

The Cougars will play Austin in the semifinals on Thursday.
