Alzheimer’s walk raises $53K

The local Walk to End Alzheimer’s Sunday raised $53,000 Sunday with 220 participants, according to organizers.

Donations still are being accepted at the link of https://act.alz.org/site/TR/Walk2022/IN-GreaterIndiana?pg=entry&fr_id=15561/. The event raised $68,200 in 2021, according to figures.

Funds support the care, support and research programs of the Alzheimer’s Association.

More than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease — a leading cause of death in the United States. Additionally, more than 11 million family members and friends provide care to people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related illnesses.
