Judy Britt, 75, of Columbus, passed away on October 5, 2022, in Columbus.
Judy was born March 21, 1947, in Greensburg, the daughter of Loren E. and Betty J. Henderson Small. She married Kenneth Britt on September 21, 1969, and they spent 45 wonderful years together before his death in 2014.
Judy enjoyed fishing, camping, and reading. She loved animals, and actively rescued any animal she could for several years. Most of all, Judy loved spending time with her family. They were the most important thing in her life.
Judy is survived by her son, Roy L. (Sheila) Roberts of North Vernon; siblings, Dan (Julie) Small, Jean (Babe) Herron, Lora (Thomas) Lucas and Lynda Hadley all of Columbus; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Kenneth on August 26, 2014; her brother Larry Small; as well as her brother-in-law Danny Hadley.
The funeral will be at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Tracy McIntyre officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until service time Wednesday. Judy will be buried beside her husband Kenneth at Westport Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to an animal charity of the donor’s choosing.
