Voters in line at 6 p.m. at local voting centers are continuing to vote, local election results delayed

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Voters were still in line at three Bartholomew County voting centers at 6 p.m., resulting in a delay of reporting of results from the general election tonight.

At around the time the polls were scheduled to close at 6 p.m., as many as 168 people were still in line at the NexusPark voting center, election officials said. At 6:55 p.m., there were about 75 to 80 voters still in line at NexusPark.

As many as 18 voters were waiting at St. John’s Masonic Lodge at 6:45 p.m. and about eight people were still in line at Donner Center.

The Republic will begin posting results as soon as the poll lines are cleared and the voting centers begin reporting.
