Thanksgiving closings list

COLUMBUS, INd. — Here are some of the closings for Thursday for Thanksgiving Day.

City of Columbus offices are closed Thursday and Friday.

Bartholomew County offices and the county courthouse are closed Thursday and Friday.

The Columbus City Utilities will be closed Thursday and Friday with regular business hours resuming at 8 a.m. Nov. 28. Customers with a problem with water or sewer service should call the business office at 812-372-8861 and follow the prompts. The city utilities office is closed due to renovation and all business transactions are being conducted at the drive-up window.

There will be no city trash collection in Columbus on Thursday. All collections will run one day behind Thursday’s collections on Friday, and Friday’s collections will be done on Saturday. The Republic offices will be closed Thursday to allow employees to enjoy the holiday with their families. The publication schedule will continue as normal and an edition will be published Thursday. For circulation issues, call 812-379-5601. On Thursday, customer service by phone is available from 7 to 11 a.m. On Friday, it is available from 7 a.m. to noon. The Republic offices in Columbus will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday.
