East falls to Whiteland
WHITELAND — Whiteland jumped out to a 34-18 halftime lead Tuesday and went on to post a 69-50 win against Columbus East.
Keaton Lawson led the Olympians (0-3) with 14 points. Julius Bailey scored 10, and Ben Sylva and Jake Gilbert each added nine.
Columbus Christian falls
MOORESVILLE — Columbus Christian took its first loss of the season, a 72-37 setback and Mooresville Christian.
Noah Edwards led the Crusaders (3-1) with 15 points. Jordan Burton added eight.

Panthers blank Eagles
NASHVILLE — Jennings County’s top varsity team opened its season with a 63-0 win at Brown County.
Zac King (138), Evan Sochacki (145), Chris Hernandez (170), Teagan Trotter (182), Robert English (195) and Xavior Gindhart (220) all won by pin for the Panthers.
Kaiser Daeger (285), Daniel Rodriguez (126), Lane Kirchner (132), RJ Barberis (152) and James Hayden (160) all won by forfeit.

Eagles down Mitchell
MITCHELL — Brown County led only 35-29 at halftime before pulling away for a 68-54 win at Mitchell.
Lexie Austin led the Eagles (2-4) with 21 points. Ava Stogsdill scored 16, and Maddie Huff added 13.
Twisters top Lancers
EDINBURGH — Edinburgh was within 22-19 at halftime, but Oldenburg Academy pulled away for a 41-29 victory.
Gracie Crawhorn led the Lancers (3-5) with 17 points. Kenna Streeval added seven.
