Hauser routs Lutheran

HOPE — Adrianna Musillami scored 19 points to lead four players in double figures in Hauser’s 71-41 win against Indianapolis Lutheran.

Kyliegh Parrott and Madelyn Poe each had 17 points for the Jets (4-3), who led 46-25 at halftime. Norah Berkenstock added 11.

Trinity tops Edinburgh

SEYMOUR — Class A No. 7 Trinity Lutheran jumped out to a 17-3 lead after one quarter and went on to post a 71-22 win at Edinburgh.

Madison Keith led the Cougars (5-1) with 24 points. Bailey Tabeling, who on Tuesday, became Trinity’s and Jackson County’s all-time leading scorer, scored 16, while Liza Froedge added 13 and Laura Roeder added nine.

Gracie Crawhorn led the Lancers (3-6) with 12 points.

SWIMMING

East sweeps Shelbyville

Columbus East’s boys opened their season with a 134-33 win against Shelbville, and the Olympian girls posted their first win of the season with a 130-55 victory on Tuesday.

The boys had four double-winners. Judah Nickoll took the 200-yard freestyle (1 minute, 51.13 seconds) and 100 backstroke (57.59), Brady Beyer captured the 200 individual medley (1:59.08) and 100 butterfly (55.75), Cavan Stilson won the 50 freestyle (23.87) and 100 freestyle (52.70) and Misha Machavariani took the 500 freestyle (4:59.64) and 100 breaststroke (1:04.06). Gavin Day won the diving competition (211.10), and the Olympians swept the 200 medley (1:43.69), 200 freestyle (1:38.12) and 400 freestyle (3:28.32) relays.

Cassidy Furnish won the 200 freestyle (2:14.79) and 100 butterfly (1:10.58), and Josie Havenaar took the 200 IM (2:35.68) and 100 backstroke (1:08.32) to lead the girls. Gabbie Meier won the diving (234.10), Kira VanValkenburg took the 100 freestyle (1:04.22), Ali Trueblood captured the 100 breaststroke (1:21.08) and East swept the 200medley (2:07.78), 200 freestyle (1:56.58) and 400 freestyle (4:15.20) relays.
