Patricia Ann Purkey, 67, passed away Friday, November 25, 2022 in Hope, Indiana.
Patricia was born May 25, 1955 in Cookville, Tennessee. She graduated from Columbus High School and later, received an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. She attended church at the Salvation Army.
Patricia was a single mother of four boys. She loved sewing and was an avid horror movie fan.
Patricia is survived by her sons, Robert Purkey, James Purkey, Matthew Rice, and Joseph Rice; six grandchildren; her sister, Rose Myers; and her brother, Robert Benninger. She was preceded in death by her father, James Myers; mother, Clara Benninger; and her sisters, Vickie Lady and Billie Alexandria.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, December 1 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Hathaway-Myers Chapel on Pearl Street.
