Jennings County’s seventh-grade girls basketball team won a pair of games this week, beating Scottsburg 38-15 on Tuesday and Central 50-5 on Thursday.

Anniston Kent led the Panthers with 12 points, eight rebounds and five steals against Scottsburg. Natalie Phillips scored 10 points, Lydia Martin had seven points and five steals and Mookky Ratcliff added six points and three blocks.

Kent led Jennings with 19 points and five steals against Central. Martin scored 10 points, and Ratcliff added eight points and seven steals.

The Panthers’ seventh-grade JV team beat Central 30-16. Madison Johnson led Jennings with seven points.

Panther 8th girls go 1-2

Jennings County’s eighth-grade girls team went 1-2 this week, falling to St. Peters 43-22 on Monday, beating Scottsburg 48-13 on Tuesday and falling to Central 30-27 on Thursday.

Addison Petro led the Panthers with seven points against St. Peters. Alyan Belding scored 14 points, and Etta Young added 12 against Scottsburg. Young led Jennings with 13 points against Central.

The Panther eighth-grade JV team lost to Central 35-12. Savannah Bannister led Jennings with seven points.

Jennings 8th boys win

Jennings County’s eighth-grade boys team rolled to a 46-9 win against Brownstown Central on Thursday.

Nate Dixon led the Panthers (4-2) with 15 points. Cash Summers scored eight, and Kaleb McIntosh added seven.
