HOPE — The spirit of Christmas arrived in Hope Friday night as the town brought back its annual Christmas of Yesteryear downtown.

At the event, visitors enjoyed cookie decorating at the Yellow Trail Museum, carriage rides, visits with Santa Claus at the Sweet Chiropractic Office and Christmas crafts at the museum.

Carolers and a live nativity scene were also part of the event.

In addition to the Yesteryear event, Hope is also staging a German Christmas Market which was held this weekend and continues Dec. 9 and 10.
