Letter: History museum’s Christmas tree exhibit a gift of the season

Columbus

As a means of ushering in the holiday season, we invited a group of friends from Bloomington to join us for lunch and a visit to the Bartholomew County Historical Society Museum to see the Christmas Trees Through Time exhibit.

We had not been to the museum for many years. The story in The Republic about the Christmas tree display made us think it would be a fun start to the holiday season. It was great fun, much to the surprise of even our not-a-fan-of-museums friend.

The tree exhibit is a true holiday treat and not to be missed. Equally impressive is the museum itself. If you haven’t visited the museum recently, give yourself a gift this year. It is free and you are sure to learn something about Columbus and Bartholomew County.
