SR hands Jets 1st loss

VERSAILLES — South Ripley gave Hauser its first loss of the season Friday night, a 56-43 defeat.

The Jets (2-1) led 9-7 after one quarter, but the Raiders took a 25-16 lead at halftime and Hauser couldn’t stage a rally.

Alex Cord led the Jets with 11 points. Ledger Gelfius and Stryker Gill each added nine.

Panthers rout Trojans

ST. LEON — Jennings County remained unbeaten with a 73-43 win at East Central.

The Panthers (5-0) trailed 19-17 after one quarter before rallying to take a 44-29 halftime lead.

Keegan Manowitz led Jennings with 18 points and 10 assists. Carter Kent scored 14 points, Justin Ramey had 11 points and six rebounds, Cole Sigler scored nine points and Parker Elmore added eight points and six rebounds.

Lancers take first loss

GREENSBURG — Class A No. 1 Edinburgh endured its first loss of the season, a 79-50 Mid-Hoosier Conference setback at North Decatur.

The Lancers (4-1, 1-1) led 10-6 midway through the opening quarter, but the Chargers closed the first half on a 31-10 run to take control.

Caleb Dewey led Edinburgh with 14 points. Jarrett Turner scored 11, and Austin Brockman added nine.

Cougars down Indians

GREENSBURG — South Decatur built a 42-17 lead after three quarters and cruised to a 62-46 win against Milan.

Jacob Scruggs led the Cougars (2-1) with 19 points. Colby Rathburn scored 14, Dorian Hacker had 13 and Dale Peters added 11.

Eagles win again

NASHVILLE — Brown County won its fourth consecutive game, a 58-52 WIC triumph against Owen Valley.

Lexie Austin led the Eagles (5-4, 2-2) with 20 points. Ava Stogsdill scored 13, and Savannah Oden added 11.
