Asbury United Methodist Church — Asbury offers a traditional service at 8:45 a.m. and a contemporary service at 11 a.m. Nursery is available for both services. J.A.M. (children’s church) is offered only at the 11 a.m. service. Sunday school classes meet at 10 a.m. Asbury offers a variety of classes and group studies at various times during the week. Every Thursday when school is in full-day session, a $4 taco/chicken lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with Pit Stop (Taco Church) Lunch.

Community Church of Columbus — Community Church of Columbus meets for Sunday service at 9 and 10:30 a.m. The second service is livestreamed and available on the Community Church’s Columbus Indiana Facebook page and Community Church of Columbus YouTube channel.
A 10-week series for parents of children in sixth grade and younger will launch on Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m. Dinner at 5:30 p.m. and children’s programming is provided at no cost as well. East Columbus Christian Church — East Columbus Christian Church is open for in-person worship on Sunday mornings with a blended worship service at 10 a.m. The church also has online worship available through Facebook and YouTube.

East Columbus United Methodist Church — Pastor Jongmin Lee will bring the message at the 9 a.m. Sunday worship service. The morning blended worship service includes praise music and traditional hymns. Children receive a special message during children’s moment and are dismissed for children’s church during the service. Sunday school is held immediately after the morning service, and classes are available for all ages and Bible interests. Holy Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month.
A free hot meal will be served the second Sunday of each month at 5 p.m. in the Youth Center Building. All are welcome to come.

Faith Lutheran Church — Worship each Sunday begins at 9 a.m. in-person and livestreamed on the church’s Facebook page. Most Sundays, Sunday school and an adult Bible study are offered from 10:15 to 11 a.m. Wednesday evening worship (masks optional) is offered at 6:30 p.m. each week. First Presbyterian Church — The season of Epiphany refers to manifestation from above, a new dawning. On Jan. 15, the second Sunday after Epiphany, the Scriptures offer light to a bleak world (Isaiah 9:2-7 and Matthew 4:12-17) and Pastor Felipe Martinez will reflect on them with a sermon titled: “Light Has Dawned.” The church will have a 9:30 a.m. worship in person in the sanctuary (you may wear a mask) or on Facebook, Zoom or YouTube. First United Methodist Church — On Sunday, Jan. 15, at 10 a.m., the Rev. Howard Boles will deliver the message, “Looking for a Teacher.” The Scripture will be John 1:29-42.
The church encourages those attending in person to arrive 10 minutes before the service. Hand sanitizer will be available at the entrances to the sanctuary. Masks are optional. Childcare will be available from 9:45 a.m. until the end of the 10 a.m. service.

Flintwood Wesleyan Church — Sunday morning worship begins at 9 a.m. with the amplify (contemporary) service. Sunday school begins at 10 a.m. with classes for all age groups. Petersville United Methodist Church — On Jan. 15, at the 9 a.m. worship service, Pastor Rebecca Milne will bring the message, “I Still Haven’t Found What I Am Looking For,” from the seven-week series, “Who Are You?” Scriptures will be from Isaiah 49:1-7, Psalm 40:1-11, 1 Corinthians 1:1-9, and John 1:29-42. Pastor Milne will question the congregation about what name God has called each person to be known by, as she talks about some of the names Jesus was known by such as Rabbi, Messiah, Lamb of God, and Savior.
Kathy Bush will serve as worship and song leader; Teresa Covert will give the children’s sermon.
A time of fellowship and refreshment will follow the service.
On Sunday evening at 5:30 p.m., “The Chosen” Bible study will begin in the sanctuary. The group will watch a video, and then move to the fellowship hall for discussion led by the pastor. Any person may attend, and may a bring a snack if they desire.

On Thursday, Jan. 19, The Petersville United Methodist Women of Faith will hold their monthly meeting at 3:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. All ladies are welcome.
The annual planning session for the church will be held on Jan. 28 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the church. The congregation is invited to attend the meeting and help plan for the future of the Petersville United Methodist Church.

Sandy Hook United Methodist Church — Sandy Hook United Methodist Church gathers weekly for in-person and online worship. Jan. 29 is the Underground worship and story night. This is a Fresh Expression Church forming in Columbus. The first of the monthly gatherings is at Sandy Hook UMC at 6 p.m. Join us for an hour-long worship time along with a couple of stories to be told.
