What initially looked like a dusting of snow rapidly progressed to a little more substantial snowfall Sunday morning, surprising some drivers who were traveling. Indiana State Police said they were responding to multiple accidents on Sunday morning throughout Bartholomew County.
During the heaviest snowfall, Bartholomew County moved its road travel status to advisory level. The advisory was moved back to “normal” at 2:35 p.m. Sunday.
The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement Sunday morning saying the light snow would bring minor snow accumulations across central Indiana, but was expected to taper off by Sunday afternoon. The weather service also cautioned on driving as some roads would remain slick and snow-covered.
