Michael Lynn Walker, 79, passed from this life at 5:47 a.m. Sunday, January 29, 2023, at his home.
Mr. Walker was born June 23,1943, in Columbus, the son of Robert “Ray” and Edith Brown Walker. He married Patricia McKale on July 24. 1965.
He was a retired auto mechanic and a U.S. Navy 3rd Class Petty Officer serving from June 19, 1961 to April 6, 1964.
Michael enjoyed traveling the US with his wife, loved offroad trail riding in his Jeeps and driving his corvette.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years; his children, Christopher (Keri) Walker of Wisconsin and Anita (Ernie) England of Westport; grandchildren, Dustin England, Joshua England, Joshua Walker, Michael England, Emma Walker; and his great-grandchildren, Easton England, Autumn England and Emerson England.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; a brother, Harold Walker; and a sister, Glenna Owen.
The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Steve Bell officiating.
A time of visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to time of service.
He will be laid to rest at Garland Brook Cemetery.
