The playoff schedule is set in the Columbus Broomball League.
In the first round on Feb. 19, No. 3-seed Our Name Is Earl (7-4-1) will play No. 6-seed Toyota Tsunamis (1-22) at 4:30 p.m., and No. 4-seed CCA (7-5) will face No. 5-seed Jennings County BC (2-10) at 5:30 p.m. No. 2-seed Hansons (8-2-2) plays the Tsunamis-Earl winner at 6:30 p.m., and No. 1-seed Monsters of Rock (9-2-1) will meet the Jennings-CCA winner at 6:30 p.m.
In last week’s regular-season finales, Our Name Is Earl upset Monsters of Rock 2-1 behind goals from Darren Eckerly and Nikki Jones. Zach Henderson scored for Monsters.
Max Warr netted four goals, and Matt Street and Rahul Bhardwaj each added one to lift Hansons to a 6-1 win against Jennings County BC. Darien Castetter had the goal for Jennings.
CCA topped Toyota Tsunamis 6-3. Greg Thomas and Shawn Bauman each scored twice, and Todd Houchin and Sam Hayes each added one goal for CCA. Greg McNealy had two goals and Dalton McNealy one for Tsunamis.

Youth teams in action
Several Columbus Youth hockey teams were in action last weekend, including the girls 10U Mayhem squad.
The Columbus Icemen Varsity beat South Stars Red 3-2 and fell to CIK 5-3 and Carmel Gold 1-0. Alex Clark netted two goals and one assist, Carter Greene scored two goals, Will Kushner recorded one goal and one assist, River Degner tallied one goal, Caleb McGhehey notched three assists, John Ferguson had two assists and Nate Balasia and Drew Weed each added one assist. Jake McMullen was in net two games, and Ben Blanz was in net one game.
Columbus Icemen Prep lost to Northside 12-1, South Stars Prep 3-1 and Carmel Blue 9-0. Bryce McDonald scored both goals, and Louie Vandergriff had one assist. Syndney Morrow was in net two games, and Blanz was in net one game.
Columbus Flames 14U A fell 4-0 and won 4-0 against Louisville. Weed netted three goals; Sawyer Patterson scored one goal; Tyson Tyner had three assists and River Degner, Simon Barnes and and Ashton Nguyen all added one assist. Lane Barringer was in net.
Columbus Flames 14U B lost to Louisville 6-3 and lost 2-1 and Dayton 4-1 and 2-0. Ryan McGhehey recorded three goals and one assist, Zane Lynch had one goal and one assist, Carter Kareus scored one goal and Cooper Ross added one assist. Keegan Bishop was in net three games, and Gabe Marsh was in net one game.
Columbus Flames 12U B tied Louisville 1-1 and 2-2. Henry Jamerson netted two goals; Nolan Sparkman scored one goal and Luke Dunn, Luis Taqueushi and Hudson Maynard all added one assist. Knox Coen was in net.
Flames Peewee AA swept Miami Redhawks 9-0 and 4-2. Brooks Larsh netted four goals and three assists, Max Perez recorded three goals and two assists, Maddox Coy notched two goals and two assists, Rowan Correll and Kai Bergmann each tallied one goal and two assists, Carter Davis had one goal and one assist, Robby Orgass scored one goal, Ethan Neumann had two assists and Logan Barringer added one assist. Canyon Long was in net, saving 31 of 33 shots for a save percentage of 93.9%.
Flames Squirt AA swept Columbus Spiders 4-1 and 10-2. Dalton Larsh netted five goals and three assists, Avery Orgass recorded three goals and two assists, Thomas Degner notched two goals and four assists, Carson Sims tallied two goals and two assists, Daniel Wallace and Colton Pepmeier each had 1 goal and 1 assist, Lucas Oswald dished out three assists and Declan Mcgurk added one assist. Cayden Long was in net, saving 37 of40 shots for a save percentage of 92.5%.
Meanwhile, the girls 10U Mayhem tied Indy Fusion 2-2 and fell to Central Illinois Revolution 4-0 and 4-2. Emily Lawson netted two goals, Clare Neff had one goal and one assist, Leigh Vandergriff and Jada Thomas each scored one goal and Meredith Schwab added two assists. Hallie Mudd was in net for two games, and Thea Meyer was in net for one game.
BASKETBALL
Panther 8th girls win
The Jennings County eighth-grade girls routed Greensburg 44-7. Etta Young scored 14 points, and Aylah Belding added 13.
The Panther seventh-grade girls fell to Greensburg 58-41. Aniston Kent scored 22 points, and Mookky Ratcliff added 11.
The Jennings eighth-grade JV girls beat Edinburgh 36-22. Ilene Hifo scored 11 points, and Savannah Bannister added 10.
