HAMILTON, Ohio — IUPUC baseball came close in the first game Sunday, but dropped a doubleheader 5-4 and 19-4 at Miami University-Hamilton.
Peyton Blinn had two RBIs in the opener. Riley Mertl threw a seven-hitter and allowed three earned runs in taking the loss.
In the second game, Sam White had two RBIs. Jared Ross, the first of six pitchers for the Crimson Pride (1-24) took the loss.
IUPUC also had been scheduled to play a doubleheader on Saturday at Miami-Hamilton, but those games were canceled.
