FREETOWN
Mrs. Ruby Margaret (Lovins) Gastineau, 82, passed away on March 15, 2023, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. She was born on June 19, 1940, in Conrad, Kentucky to the late Rothel Ester Lovins and Rebeca Kathryn (Hood) Lovins.
Ruby married Waymon Gastineau on September 23, 1962. She attended Brownstown Christian Church. Ruby enjoyed reading and gardening. She was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Waymon Gastineau; her children, James Roy (Lisa) Gastineau, David Christopher (Kathy) Gastineau, Michelle Marie (Jason) Tracy; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Ronald Wayne Lovins and Theresa Lynn Lovelace.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Carl, Charles, Bill, Truman, James, Jack and Glenn, sisters, Goldie, Aleda, Bonnie and Ada.
Funeral services for Ruby will be at 10:00 am March 25, 2023, at Voss &Sons Funeral Service officiated by Pastor Mitchell McIntyre and assisted by Ted Stucker. Burial will take place at Ohio Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Friday, and 9-10 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be written to Brownstown Christian Church.
