Tamicka Dawn Schroeder

NORTH VERNON

Tamicka Dawn Schroeder, 48, of North Vernon, went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 20, 2023, at her residence.

Born March 6, 1975, in Columbus, she was the daughter of Marshall Wayne Fletcher and Glenda Longelin Roseberry. She married Jeffory Schroeder I on September 17, 1997, in Vernon; he survives.

Tamicka was a graduate of Jennings County High School. She worked as a manager for Jay C Food Store in North Vernon for several years and as a custodian for St. Vincent Jennings Hospital for one year. Tamicka was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in North Vernon. She enjoyed working puzzles and word searches, reading, watching Hallmark movies, and cooking. Tamicka loved spending time with her grandchildren and her family, and she loved helping other people.

Surviving with her husband are her sons, Jeffory Schroeder II of North Vernon and Cory (Anna) Kuntz of Crothersville; her daughters, Sabrina J. Schroeder of Elizabethtown, Katherine (Colton Perkins) Schroeder of Vernon, and Jessica (Scott Jennings) Schroeder of Apache Junction, Arizona; parents, Marshall (Eve) Fletcher of North Vernon and Glenda (T.L.) Roseberry of Nebraska; brothers, Scottie Fletcher and Michael (Melissa) Fletcher, both of North Vernon; and grandchildren, Gracie Kuntz, Emmie Kuntz, and Jaxtyn Kuntz, all of Crothersville, Madilynn Williams and Alayna Williams, both of Apache Junction, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Angel Schroeder.

A funeral service for Tamicka will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the Dove-Sharp &Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Jerry Byrd officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in honor of Tamicka through the funeral home to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
