Don M. Foreman

Don M. Foreman, 73, of Columbus passed from this life on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at 8:01 a.m. at Columbus Regional Hospital.

Don was born on August 25, 1949, in Columbus the son of Paul H. and Joyce Howse Foreman. On October 25, 2012, he married Cynthia M. Smith.

He was a Purdue University graduate where he majored in mechanical engineering, he went on to retire after 39 years from Cummins Engine Company where he was a tool maker.

Don was a member of the NRA and the Hog Turd Alley Gentleman’s Association and was an avid disco dancer and cowboy shooter. Mr. Foreman was a very talented craftsman of many things including wood working, marksman, machinist, gunsmith, leather worker, and mechanic. In the late 70’s and 80’s he was very proud of being a single dad raising his 3 children, working full time, and going to college.

Survivors include his wife of ten years, Cynthia M. Foreman of Columbus; children, Phillip A. (Carol) Foreman of Columbus, Bonnie A. (Tony) Camp of Clifford, Benjamin Joshua (Leah) Foreman of the Bahamas; grandchildren, Felicia Blake, Shaina, Kristen, Myleigh, Sydney, Jordan, Kaylee, Kianna; sister, Sharon Hughbanks; and nephews, Jacob Foreman, John Foreman, Andy Hughbanks, and Joe Hughbanks.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ernest and James Foreman; and grandsons, Jarred May and Jesse Foreman.

A celebration of life service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.

Family and friends may gather for visitation from 11:00 a.m. till time of service at the funeral home.

In keeping with Mr. Foreman’s wishes cremation will take place following services.
