Alongsider Church — Alongsider is a community of house churches coming together to worship as one body on the first and third Sundays monthly at 9:30 a.m. The church meets in the cafeteria at WD Richards Elementary School. Park in the back by the tennis courts and enter through door 24. On the second and fourth Sundays, house churches meet in homes across Columbus for a conversational study of the past sermon and deeper fellowship.

Asbury United Methodist Church — Asbury offers a traditional service at 8:45 a.m. and a contemporary service at 11 a.m. Nursery is available for both services. J.A.M. (children’s church) is offered only at the 11 a.m. service. Sunday school classes meet at 10 a.m. Asbury offers a variety of classes and group studies at various times during the week. On April 2, the church will be celebrating Palm Sunday with a traditional service at 8:45 a.m. Worshippers will wave palm fronds to remember Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. The Columbus Brass Quintet will be participating in this service. The church will also celebrate with a contemporary service at 11 a.m.
Holy Thursday Service is on April 6 at 6:30 p.m. J.A.M. (children’s church will meet during the service. The church will be celebrating Good Friday on April 7 at 6:30 p.m. J.A.M. will meet during the service. Easter will be celebrated the church April 9 with a welcoming atmosphere and a powerful message of hope. The traditional service will be at 8:45 a.m., breakfast at 9:30 a.m., Easter egg hunt at 10:30 a.m., and contemporary worship service at 11 a.m.
Every Thursday when school is in full-day session, a $4 taco/chicken lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with Pit Stop (Taco Church) lunch.

East Columbus Christian Church — East Columbus Christian Church is open for in-person worship on Sunday mornings with a blended worship service at 10 a.m. The church also has online worship available through Facebook and YouTube.

East Columbus United Methodist Church — Pastor Jongmin Lee will bring the message at the 9 a.m. Sunday worship service. The morning blended worship service includes praise music and traditional hymns. Children receive a special message during children’s moment and are dismissed for children’s church during the service. Sunday school is held immediately after the morning service, and classes are available for all ages and Bible interests. Holy Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month.
A free hot meal will be served the second Sunday of each month at 5 p.m. in the Youth Center Building. All are welcome to come.

We have the opportunity this Lent at Fairlawn to engage in several studies. One, the devotion on “God Still With Us” adding to the theme used during Advent. The church will collect the offering at the end of this devotion on Palm Sunday, April 2. Two, our second-hour discussion looking at the desert of compassion and how God speaks to us in wilderness moments. Lastly, our joint Zoom study with our Matthew 25 friends at First Presbyterian of Bloomington and Columbus as we look at Jesus’ expansive invitation of hospitality.
On the fifth Sunday of Lent, March 26, the second hour discussion will be “The Desert of Compassion — Do Not Condemn.” On Monday, March 27 at 7 p.m., the Zoom study meeting will be “Meeting Jesus at the Table — Excuses and Invitations – Empty Chairs at the Table,” with the Scripture being Luke 14:15-24.

Faith Lutheran Church — Worship each Sunday begins at 9 a.m. in-person and livestreamed on the church’s Facebook page. Most Sundays, Sunday school and an adult Bible study are offered from 10:15 to 11 a.m. Wednesday evening worship is offered at 6:30 p.m. each week. The congregation also livestreams a daily devotion and prayer Monday through Thursday at 7 a.m. on the Facebook page.

First United Methodist Church — On Sunday, March 26, at 10 a.m., Jen Riddle will deliver the message, “Seeking: Can These Bones Live?” The Scripture will be John 11:1-45 & Ezekiel 37:1-14.
The church encourages those attending in person to arrive 10 minutes before the service. Childcare will be available from 9:45 a.m. until the end of the 10 a.m. service.

Flintwood Wesleyan Church — Sunday morning worship begins at 9 a.m. with the amplify (contemporary) service. Sunday school begins at 10 a.m. with classes for all age groups. Such A Time As This — Sunday School is at 11 a.m., followed by morning worship. Youth on The Rise and adult service meet on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Youth on The Rise’s upcoming Easter Events will be on April 7 and 8. On April 7 at 6 p.m., Youth on The Rise will meet at the church for Journey to the Cross for the second year. This reenactment is minute in comparison to the suffering Jesus did for us on the cross. To see this scene, however, is overwhelming. On April 8 at noon at Rockcreek Elementary School (13000 E. County Road 200S, Columbus), Youth on The Rise are teaming up with the Emma Grace Foundation. Easter egg hunt, prizes and free bicycles will be given away, the Easter Bunny will visit and portraits will be taken by K. Otis Photography. Over 4,000 eggs, four age groups, and the number of free bicycles to be given away has grown.

Worldwide General Conference — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will livestream inspiring messages of hope and renewal during the upcoming general conference on Saturday and Sunday, April 1 and 2.
The global broadcast originates from the Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, and consists of five unique, two-hour general sessions for all audiences over two days. Saturday, April 1 will have sessions at n00n, 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. Sunday, April 2, will have sessions at n00n and 4 p.m. Sessions will be streamed live at ChurchofJesusChrist.org, on the general conference YouTube channel; Gospel Library app; and other radio, television, satellite and digital channels.
