COLUMBUS
William T. Sullivan Jr., passed from this life at 4:32 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the Columbus Regional Hospital Emergency Room.
Mr. Sullivan was born May 6, 1950, in Columbus, the son of William T. Sullivan Sr. and Opal Fields Sullivan.
He married Lynetta Pefley April 14, 1973.
Mr. Sullivan retired from Cummins Engine Company in 2001 after 30 years of service.
He was U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, restoring antique furniture, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. In his younger years, he enjoyed coaching and cheering on his sons in sports.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Jacob (Deanna Neely) Sullivan of North Vernon and Matthew (Carrie) Sullivan of Trafalgar; grandchildren, Ethan and Abigail Sullivan; a brother, Leon (Janice) Sullivan of Columbus; and a sister, Patty Day of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Danny Sullivan.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike with Pastor Jon Stone officiating.
A time of visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to time of service.
His cremated remains will be laid to rest at the St. Paul Cemetery in Ogilville.
Military honors will be provided by the Bartholomew County Veteran’s Honor Guard.
