National Weather Service forecasting severe storms possible Friday night

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew County Emergency Management said area residents should expect some possible severe storms on Friday.

The National Weather Service indicates that present indications are that some severe storms with damaging winds will be possible Friday night. Best chances for severe storms will be across western portions of the area, with odds diminishing some eastward toward I-65.  Damaging winds look to be the primary threat with these storms.  Expect windy conditions overnight Friday night into Saturday.  Wind gusts over 40 mph are likely.
