IUPUC baseball drops doubleheader at Asbury

WILLMORE, Ky. — IUPUC baseball came close to posting its second win of the season Thursday, but Asbury rallied for a 12-8 win in the second game of a doubleheader.

Asbury won the first game 14-4. Cyrus Robinson went 4 for 4 with a double, and S. White went 3 for 3 for the Crimson Pride. Drew Bradley, the first of four IUPUC pitchers, took the loss.

In the second game, the Crimson Pride (1-30) led 4-0 before allowing 10 runs in the sixth. Wyatt Sutton went 2 for 5, and Columbus East graduate Alex McComb had a double and three RBIs. Nathan VanBibber threw five shutout innings before running into trouble in the sixth.
