COLUMBUS, INDIANA
Harriett LaVerne Quillen, 96, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2023, at the Willow Crossing Health and Rehabilitation Center in Columbus, Indiana.
She was born March 20, 1927, to the late John Adam Eudy and Mayme Azora (Rambo) Eudy. She married Charlie Edmund Quillen on October 8, 1954, who preceded her in death December 8, 2018.
Harriett and Charlie were members of Garden City Church of Christ for many years and were active with Golden Harvesters and Summer Bible School. She was a devoted housewife who enjoyed caring for her family.
One of her greatest joys was her grandchildren. She would gladly babysit them as well as other family members.
She is survived by her children, Kevin Quillen (Dorothy Carey) of Southport, and Brett Quillen (Debbie Hoene Quillen) of Seymour; two grandchildren Travis Quillen, and Amanda (Quillen) Schreier (Jason Schreier); five great grandchildren Landry Quillen, Brantley Quillen, Jaren Schreier, Josie Schreier, and Juliet Schreier; brother-in-law Frank Quillen; and sister-in-law Polly Quillen.
Harriett had four sisters and five brothers, all whom preceded her in death, including brothers, Dan Eudy, John Eudy, Jesse Eudy, Charles Eudy, and Clarance Eudy; sisters, Nellie Deavers Smart, Alice White, Bessie Bradley, and Ruth Butler. She is also preceded in death by five brother-in-laws and one sister-in-law.
Calling hours will be held at Voss &Sons Funeral and Cremation Service, Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 9:00-11:00 AM. Pastor Virgil Clotfelter will officiate a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Daughtery Cemetery.
