Chloe White: JCHS seniors offer advice for incoming freshman

As the school year comes to an end, many seniors are preparing to move on to the next chapter of their lives. It’s in these times that many of us are reminiscing on the earlier years of our high school careers.

The last day of school for Jennings County High School students is Wednesday, May 24.

I asked five seniors one question: “What advice do you have for new students?”

From Jennifer Otero: “Get as involved as you can! High school is a million times better when you participate in school events and clubs. You won’t regret it!”

From Mackenzie Heuer: “When things are stressful, remember you only need approval from yourself, not from someone else.”

From Hee’dien Fishburn: “Never give up and enjoy every minute you possibly can, school flies by a lot faster than you would think!”

From Victoria Burton: “There’s no rush to plan your future, take your time and make friends with unlikely people, and never worry about what others think of you.”

From Anna Reynolds: “Don’t stress too much, the teachers are all kind and helpful and you will make lots of friends! Try to stay organized and if you have time in class to do homework that’s always a good idea.”

The Jennings County High School Class of 2023 will graduate on Saturday, June 3 at 9:30 a.m.
