Jets fall to Saints

INDIANAPOLIS — Hauser was within 4-2 after 2 1/2 innings Monday, but Indianapolis Lutheran pulled away for a 12-2, five-inning victory.

Stryker Gill went 2 for 2 with a home run and two RBIs for the Jets (13-13-1).

Lions slip past Jets

RUSHVILLE — Rushville pulled out a 209-211 win against Hauser at Antler Pointe.

Hunter Pappano and Caleb Wallace each shot 50 to lead the Jets. Colten Hatton carded a 55, Brenden Burton added a 56, Gavin Bain shot 57 and Marshall Moody had a 63.

SOFTBALL

Bulldogs edge Panthers

BEDFORD — Jennings County led 3-2 after five innings, but New Albany scored twice in the bottom of the sixth to rally for a 4-3 win in the first round of the Bedford North Lawrence Sectional.

The Panthers (12-15) outhit the Bulldogs 8-7. Kenzie Matern threw a seven-hitter.

Alexis Carson went 2 for 3 with two doubles. Abby McDonald and Emma Clapp each went 2 for 3.

Eagles blank Cougars

GREENSBURG — South Decatur fell to Jac-Cen-Del 16-0 in five innings in the opening round of the North Decatur Sectional.

Molly Eden and Sami Storm had the lone hits for the Cougars (6-19).
