Long-term JNET investigation leads to arrest of local man

COLUMBUS, Ind. — A local man was arrested on felony drug charges Thursday as a result of a long-term investigation by the Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team.
During the course of the narcotics investigation, Christopher M. Hubbert, 43, of 355 McClure Road, Columbus was identified as a suspected retail distributor of methamphetamine, investigators said. Hubbert has a previous conviction for dealing

A search warrant was executed at a home in the 900 block of 13th Street by JNET, CPD Uniform Division, and personnel from the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department. Hubbert was taken into custody without incident. Methamphetamine, operational digital scales, and packaging material were seized pursuant to the search warrant.
Christopher Hubbert was remanded to the Bartholomew County Jail on a 48-hour hold. Hubbert is preliminarily charged with dealing in methamphetamine with enhancing circumstances, as a Level 2 felony; possession of methamphetamine with enhancing circumstances, as a Level 4 felony; and maintaining a common nuisance.
