North tops East

Willy Davis won medalist honors with a 37 to lead Columbus North to tri-match win at Harrison Lake Country Club. The Bull Dogs carded a 152 to 162 for Columbus East and 167 for Providence.

Tyler Wilks and Jack Schiavello each shot 38 for the Bull Dogs. John Merritt added a 39, and Brady Schneider had a 41.

Carter Greene led the Olympians with a 38. Pierce Arnholt carded a 39, Jamall Starks added a 42, Ben Luedeke shot 43 and Spencer Erfmeier had a 45.

Lancers post win

EDINBURGH — Max Blandford fired a 37 to win medalist honors and lead Edinburgh to a 190 at Timbergate. Southwestern (Shelby) did not have enough golfers to score as a team.

Mason Calhoun, Wyatt Burton and Devyn Milburn all shot 51 for the Lancers. Gabe Bennett added a 58.

Mustangs top Eagles

NASHVILLE — Brown County fell to Edgewood 161-195 at Salt Creek.

Wesley Arndt led the Eagles with a 44. Clay Austin carded a 49, Bradley Arndt added a 50, Liam Cassiday shot 52, Jon Kirchhofer had a 58 and Will Hiatt finished with a 67.

BASEBALL

Jets fall to Rebels

AUSTIN — Hauser saw its season come to an end with a 10-3 loss to Southwestern (Hanover) in the opening round of the Austin Sectional.

Kameron Blair went 2 for 3, and Nathan Worland had two RBIs for the Jets (14-14-1). Owen McIntyre and Holden Pittman combined to allow only four earned runs.

SOFTBALL

Lancers make final

EDINBURGH — Edinburgh moved into the final of its own sectional with a 16-0, five-inning win against Morristown.

MacKenzie Bieker threw a two-hitter with 13 strikeouts and went 3 for 4 with two RBIs to lead the Lancers (14-12). Gracie Barrett went 3 for 3 with four RBIs, Alix Streeval went 3 for 3 with two doubles and two RBIs, Gracie Crawhorn went 2 for 2 with a double and two RBIs, Kenna Streeval went 2 for 3 and Eliose Cox had a double and three RBIs.

Edinburgh will host Indianapolis Lutheran in the sectional final at 5:30 p.m. today.

Trinity falls in final

RISING SUN — Trinity Lutheran came close, but fell to Rising Sun 5-3 in the championship of the Rising Sun Sectional.

Grace Lance threw a five-hitter and went 2 for 4 for the Cougars (14-11). Bailey Tabeling went 2 for 4 with a double and a home run.
