Bull Dogs take third
HENRYVILLE — Columbus North finished third with a 308 in Saturday’s Providence Inviational at Champions Pointe, site of the June 8 regional.
No. 5 Evansville North won the event with a 296 to 299 for No. 9 Center Grove and 308 for the No. 14 Bull Dogs. Columbus East finished eighth with a 329.
Willy Davis tied for sixth individually with a 74 to lead Columbus North. Tyler Wilks, John Merritt and Jack Schiavello all shot 78 and Brady Schneider added an 86.
Pierce Arnholt led the Olympians with a 75. Carter Greene carded an 81, Ben Luedeke added an 84, Spencer Erfmeier shot 89 and Jamall Starks had a 92.

Trinity moves to final
MADISON — Trinity Lutheran advanced to the Shawe Memorial Sectional final with a 6-2 win against New Washington.
The Cougars (13-15) will face Rising Sun at 1 p.m. Monday for the title.
